Welcome to LST’s Department of Music and Worship
Since 1997 we have offered a combined BA Hons degree programme in Theology, Music and Worship . This is the only course of its design in Europe and combines a wide range of worship streams, music styles and core theological teaching.
For graduate studies there are worship and music pathways in our new postgraduate MA in Transformation: Scripture, Church and World.
You will also find details of our Evening and Saturday classes. These give an opportunity, in an informal style, to develop practical musical skills and ideas for church worship and are well worth coming to.
In 2009 our new summer worship conference WorshipConnect will give an opportunity to explore topics in greater depth than is possible in evening classes. It will also give a taster of some of the areas of study on the degree programme.
In September 2008 we held our first Symposium Deep Calls to Deep. With nearly 300 people attending, it proved to be a significant event, exploring in depth practical and theological issues related to corporate worship. Keep looking at our Symposium website for downloads and details of future Symposium activities.
You will also find details of occasional concerts held at LST.
We hope you enjoy looking through the Department pages. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to be in touch with us at music@lst.ac.uk
Best wishes,
David Peacock
