Richard Hubbard

Richard is a Visiting Lecturer at LST, teaching Composition & Arranging and Church Music History, amongst other things. Richard has a Masters degree in Christian Liturgical Music, and a wealth of experience in leading and directing church music in many styles. He teaches Percussion at Woodbridge School, Suffolk, and Piano in Colchester. He is Director of Cantus Firmus Trust, which supports the ministry of cre8, a children's creative arts group based in Essex. He is a Director of Music and Worship Foundation , and was Secretary of CHIME (The Churches' Inititaive in Music Education). He has a passion for creating acts of worship which cross boundaries of style, and which draw together different worship traditions. He has devised a number of creative liturgical events, including the Advent celebration Sharers in the Promise.
