Transforming a worship song

In many local churches there seems to be a freshness of sounds and styles that are emerging. One will listen to an original song on a CD and then listen to the same song played in a local church or on another artist CD with a slightly or even a radical ‘transformation’.

The enhancement of a song can be quite refreshing, but an arrangement that is too cluttered or ‘too adventurous’ can become more of a distraction to the listener or singer.

During the course of this workshop, which runs over three sessions, we will look at how to successfully, musically ‘treat’ a song without losing it’s original ‘lyrical strength'.
