Worship in the Best of Both Worlds

• Is worship – as AW Tozer said a generation ago – still the ‘missing jewel of the evangelical church’?
• Has ‘charismatic’ worship reached a dead end?
  Is liberty incompatible with liturgy?
• Does structure suppress or facilitate freedom?
  Is worship an escape from the world or a way of ‘reordering the world’?
• Is preaching a method of communication or a means of grace?
• Does lament feature as much as it should in our praise programme?

These are questions addressed in Philip Greenslade's new book Worship in the Best of Both Worlds. Although not all of them can be answered in 90 minutes, this workshop will be an opportunity to get to grips with some of these questions with the author himself.
